We had great fun today when Sam from Boffin projects came into class to teach us all about sounds (our new science topic!)
We found out all about how vibrations make sounds, what makes sounds high pitched and how to make loud sounds. We all got to be part of the experiments and we learned lots!
In the final week of the half-term, Class 4 went on an amazing trip to the National Media Museum in Bradford. In the morning, the children went on a guided TV production tour, where they got to explore the exciting world of television, including becoming actors and cameramen themselves! In the afternoon, the children went to the Kodak Gallery for a ‘Lights, Camera, Action’ talk, which focussed on photography. The children then had free time at the end to explore the Games Lounge, Animation Gallery and Magic Factory. Class 4: what was your favourite part of the day, and why? What did you learn during the day? Please keep checking the blog as more photos of the day will be uploaded shortly.
During the summer term, Class 4 will be learning all about Vikings! We will learn about the Viking raiders, the Viking way of life, trade, and also Viking culture. What are you most looking forward to learning about the Vikings and why?
Class 4 have spent two Tuesday afternoons creating their Anglo-Saxon settlements. We cut up cereal boxes and used wood, straw, card, different types of paper, cocktail sticks, cotton wool and lollipop sticks to create our settlements. Don’t they look pretty!
This week, Class 4 have been learning all about Roman numerals! Can you tell me which numbers/symbols we have created with our bodies? Which is your favourite Roman numeral symbol?
